    Media and entertainment global giant Mashable has declared in their food trend forecast for 2016 that Filipino food is in their Top 3. Written by Sarah Spigelman Richter, she enthused that Philippine cuisine is going to spark new interest among the dining crowd and added that there is a big dessert culture too. Included in the list are seaweed and chef-delivered meals among others.

The Chef

LUZON's Chef Patron is Rex De Guzman.

British born to Filipino parents, he is a young and dynamic chef who has briefly worked under Michelin-starred chefs Richard Corrigan
and Ron Blaauw.

Professionally trained in London, he has worked extensively in top restaurants around the capital. With his strong Filipino heritage, he created LUZON as a Filipino restaurant that will launch
modern Filipino cuisine.

Alvaro Brun Gil, who has worked with Quique Dacosta's three-starred El Poblet, remarked that Rex is "passionate, fresh and has lots of energy."

Rex lives in Southeast London with his family and their pets Major and Taylor.
